Health is the greatest wealth. Staying healthy is the key to happiness and we here at PYDS take care of all our children.
As the students hail from underprivileged background and does not get proper health facility, we provide our children with proper medical care. This academic year (2018-19), the students were taken for medical check – up.
De warming tablets were given to the students to treat parasitic worm infection. The nurse at our school explained the procedure for consuming this medicine. An anti – scabies program was conducted in school for hostel boys and girls. They were made aware about the symptoms of scabies and how its medication is done.
A dental camp was conducted in the school on 29th May 2018 where classes 11, 12 and school staff participated. The students were individually checked. Doctors informed students about the cavities and tooth decay. Blood test and vaccination camp was conducted by Max India Foundation where blood group was tested. Children were also vaccinated against typhoid.
The students of Navjeevan Program and Vocational students went on eye check-up. Students with weak eye sight were provided with spectacles.
A session on oral hygiene and hand washing was also conducted for the students.
There were few medical cases that required proper medical care and attention.
