Dear Friend,
Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous donation assisting children with disabilities here. This reporting period we focused our energy and attention in trying to help a cleft palate girl access medical surgery. So far we are not successful but we have a lot of connections and friends already who are willing to assist. We found out that supporting this type of disability is very difficult here for the lack of medical specialists who are experts in the field. There are non-profit organizations who are focused on this type of assistance but our area here in Mindanao is not in their list of schedule because of the difficult peace and order situation. Hoping that we will finally succeed. There is another schedule next month and hopefully we can send our patient for the treatment. This type of condition is very difficult especially for children and if left untreated, they become shy and inferior to their classmates.
