It is never easy to report very sad news. The animals are all like our family. Their wellbeing always come first. Shrek, our oldest Leopard that i have known since birth got sick. He did not want to take his medicine and also did not want to eat or drink. We immediately contacted Dr Jana to come and help. Shrek was sedated, bloods were taken, he got fluids and vitamins before he was woken up. Bloods were send off to the lab. Shrek was doing a little better. 2 days later he crushed again, Dr Jana came back, we sedated him again, bloods were rushed to the lab while he was still sedated. Kidney failure. She decided to give him more fluids and kept him lightly sedated. After 8 hours bloods were rushed to the lab again. No good news. His condition is accute. There was nothing else to do. We had to say goodbye and he was finally put to sleep forever. Dr Jana also did an autopsy and send samples off to the lab.
All of these are very costly, and that is where we appreciate the help of you, our supporters. Thank you for helping us to help them.
