A new school year for our preschool students

By Yolanda Utami Nilasari Nilasari | Project Leader

Meet our new preschool students!
Meet our new preschool students!

It has been a month since 45 students at our preschool started their new school year. The students are divided into 2 groups based on their ages: Group A is from ages 3 to 4 (23 students) and Group B is from ages 5 to 6 (22 students). Their schedule is from Monday to Friday, from 9 to 12 pm.

The first day at school, we had a Parents and Teachers meeting. This was aimed to introduce our school, its rules and regulations, the facilities and the program taught. We also provided information about the school uniforms and recreational activities as well as other activities involving the parents.

The next day was orientation day for the students. The day started with teachers and students introducing themselves for the first time. Then they walked around YUM community center (where the preschool is situated), looking at all the facilities and its functions. They went  to the books & toys library, the playground, the fish pond, and the organic farm. The orientation day ended with fun games.

Thank you for your kind support, making it possible for us to provide the best early education for children from underprivileged families. Please consider transforming your one time donation into monthly giving, which would provide us with a more sustainable source of funds that we can use to plan our programs, create budgets, and expand our services. Thank you once again for your support and generosity!
