By Jed Christian Sayre | Project Leader
Dear Friend,
Warmest greetings and thank you very much for supporting our initiative to provide support to poor families affected by the eruption of Taal volcano. With the eruption, thousands of families were affected and providing support is indeed a problem. We chose to focus our initiative to vegetable gardening because this area is where we excel with our experience in previous disasters as well as food from the gardens is easy to access and can be sustained for a long time. The idea is to let some of the vegetables to grow and mature and get the seeds for the next season. Our team comprising 2 field workers and 3 local volunteers was able to provide vegetable seeds and leaflets showing how vegetables are grown to 210 youths who signified their intent to undertake gardening activities. Again, thank you so much.
Very sincerely yours,
Jed Christian
