We just celebrated World Nature Conservation Day which is an annual event held on July 28.
The overexploitation of resources has led to more natural disasters, unusual weather patterns, destruction of wildlife habitats, extinction of species, and loss of biodiversity.
Haiti continues to face challenges such as food insecurity and the negative effects of climate change. Some youth often go with minimal to no food daily. Healthy eating in childhood promotes proper growth & development (mental and physical) and prevents various health conditions.
Our Midwifery-led Youth Groups not only offer health education but help reverse the negative effects of climate change and food insecurity by gifting each participant a combination of 5 fruit & vegetable trees upon completion of the program. This not only provides a source of nutrition but addresses food insufficiency and climate change and is a way to increase family income.
Join our community and be part of the solution!
Take action today.
Let’s help Haiti’s Youth Change Haiti One Tree at a Time!
