By Clare Elwell | Founder and Trustee
We are very pleased to welcome a new trustee to our charity. Angeline Ward has a wealth of experience in international education systems and is currently a Regional Manager at the University of Central Lancashire responsible for recruitment of students from Sub-Saharan Africa. She is passionate about creating awareness of opportunities for African students and brings with her an extensive network of schools contacts across the continent.
Working with many of Angeline’s contacts we have selected a total of ten students for scholarship awards to attend this summer’s London International Youth Science Forum; Monica, Moses, Julia, Muthoni and Annah from Kenya, Memory from Zimbabwe, Ammar and Albert from Tanzania and, adding two new countries, Abhinn from Mauritius and Issac from Liberia. We are working with local partners in each country to secure travel documents for each student and look forward to welcoming them all to London this summer.
In addition to these scholarships to support in person attendance, we have also facilitated online attendance at the Forum for at least eight other students.
