Shade for Children is working on two Yearbooks, both for six year old girls still in an orphanage. Neither has much immediate hope of being adopted or taken into foster care although we continue to advocate for them. Katya is one of seven siblings. They are available for adoption or foster care but placing large families is difficult. Carolina is stuck in orphan purgatory; she and her siblings are in orphanages but they don't have status to be adopted and there's virtually no chance of them returning to their family.
We are working on photo albums for them that will be kept in safekeeping at their current orphanage just so they'll have pictures of their childhood. We continue to visit with them about once a month.
