Like everyone else in the world, we were severely impacted by COVID restrictions throughout much of 2020. We know of many potential adoptive families whose adoptions were delayed or postponed. However, we are aware of at least five of the children with whom we work who were adopted this past year and we were so pleased to provide their new parents with beautiful photobooks. Of the children pictured on the photobooks on the accompanying picture, two were adopted domestically here in Ukraine, two have new homes and families in Italy, and one is in the United States. We pray for their families as they adjust and deal with the trauma their child undoubtedly received from years of institutionalization.
In addition to serving those families, the directors of the two orphanages from which these children came were pleased with our gifts to the families.
Thank you for funding this project. It would not be possible without you. It's hard to imagine in this social media age that we live in that parents don't have hundreds or thousands of pictures of their children. Without these photobooks, these adoptive families would only have a handful of terrible, clinical photos of their forever children.
