1. Preambles
ASSIT is an international non-profit organization working in Cameroon and the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, in the province of South Kivu, in the three territories most affected by the effects of the war.
It is :
- Walungu (kaniola group)
- KABARE (group of Mudusa, Cirunga and Nindja)
- KALEHE (Mbinga Nord and Bunyakiri group)
Indeed since 1996 ; attacks by armed groups are regular in the three territories and have created population movements, theft of livestock, devastation of fields and rapes, leaving the population in extreme poverty, but the greatest victims of this violence are the women who have become responsible for their families and children including those who have been raped.
ASSIT / RDC has received from GLOBALGIVING partners a sum of US $ 1390 for Women's Empowerment in the groupment of Kaniola. (47122)
2. USE OF FUNDS BY ACTIVITY : the support of women’s empowerment in the groupment of Kaniola grouped in Village Savings and Loans Activity WITH acronym, was done in two stages :
A. WOMEN'S AWARENESS
ASSIT organized sensitization activities for Women’s empowerment in the groupment of KANIOLA / Walungu and brought them together in teams of 25 per group of women who will form village savings and loan associations, i.e. a total of 150 women spread over 5 villages. constituting each village a VSLAs Village Association for Credit Savings.
B. SUPPORT IN VSLAs
ASSIT supported the 5 with a revolving credit per village or group of 25 women for a total of 1390 USD.

On December 31 during the accelerator campaign, we received 206 US dollars from this amount 140 USD reached us through our bank TMB / Bukavu and as of May 11, 2020 for the second accelerator campaign had 1.390 USD on the 1457, 50 USD from GlobalGiving.
After all banking transactions, we only withdrew 140 and 1390 US dollars
According to the report,
I) These funds were used for the account of the project to which this money had been allocated
II) All projects that have received donations through GlobalGiving must continue
III) Each project is expected to receive charitable funds in accordance with and enforceability of laws, regulations, orders, decrees, and directors issued by Executive Order 13224 and the United States Patriot Act.
A field trip was carried out by members of ASSIT from February 24, 2020 to March 01, 2020 with a view to raising awareness on the empowerment of women, victims of sexual violence in the territory of Walungu / Kaniola group through the WITH in the villages.
Difficulties: The COVID-19 crisis has slowed down some activities.
