Over the past three months, we have strengthened our networks, celebrated achievements and paved new paths to continue promoting education and the holistic development of women.
November: Building Networks and Reflection
In November, we took an important step by presenting the "Gender-Based Violence Response Route," a tool developed in collaboration with various organizations in Nuevo León and with the support of our therapists, Sheila Rojas and Felipe Rocha. This resource establishes clear protocols for identifying and addressing cases, reinforcing the protection of women in vulnerable situations.
Additionally, on November 25, we participated in Resilience to Flourish, an activity organized by Iberdrola MX, inspired by the Roses Against Violence movement. This initiative used art and free expression to reflect on violence. With the valuable support of CAINTRA Nuevo León and a talk by Violetta Zarco, we concluded the day by creating a collective mural that symbolized resilience and hope.
Our General Director also visited the offices of USAID MX in Mexico City, presenting the Strategic Alliances solution documents and strengthening ties with the FHI 360 team.
December: Celebration and Continuity
December was filled with meaningful gatherings. For the second year in a row, we brought together more than 30 graduates from different generations, who shared their experiences and celebrated their growth in an emotional reunion. The atmosphere was filled with connection and gratitude through various activities.
Likewise, on December 14 we marked the end of the Fall 2024 semester, welcoming seven new scholarship recipients and celebrating the journey of six women who completed the program. The day concluded with a candle ritual, symbolizing the passing of light and commitment between generations.
Furthermore, on December 18, we celebrated 24 years of history—a journey that began with the vision of our founder, sra. Yolanda Lozano, and today is reflected in the transformation of more than 270 women.
During the graduation ceremony, Karmina, one of our Fall semester graduates, shared words that filled us with pride and emotion:
"Alone we are seeds; together, we are a blooming field."
For Karmina, this phrase sums up her experience in the program. With deep gratitude, she shared how her time with us marked two significant stages in her life: first, a period of confusion and healing, followed by one of self-discovery and growth. The pandemic brought many changes and challenges, but with the support of her therapists (Emma, Alicia, Pedro y Felipe), she found the tools to turn pain into acceptance and growth. By the end, she had discovered a new version of herself, ready to explore and embrace new challenges. Her testimony is a powerful reminder of the impact we strive to create every day and motivates us to remain committed to the holistic development of each woman.
January: A New Beginning
In January, we welcomed our new scholarship recipients in an event filled with energy and connection. Through activities led by our team of therapists, we experienced a day of laughter, introspection, and unity that strengthened our sense of belonging. We are grateful to Instituto Municipal de las Mujeres Regias for opening its doors and joining this mission, marking the beginning of a collaboration that promises to keep transforming lives.
This time has been a testament to the power of unity, shared learning, and continuous transformation. Each experience inspires us to keep planting opportunities and hope for a brighter future.
