Warmest greetings and thank you very much for your donation to our project women-led agro reforestation. Women should play a more active role in climate change mitigation and one of the ways to do this is by tree growing. Tree growing is a concept wherein farmers raise seedlings and then nurture the planted seedlings in the field until they mature. The practice before is to just plant seedlings and then leave them to the elements incurring high mortality. This time around we will ensure high survival of the planted seedlings. We also promote the idea of donors and supporters to pay for the seedlings and the farmer to plant them then provide regular location and photo reports of the grown trees. In this way the funder will have ownership and satisfaction of the trees being grown. Hoping that this idea will grow. This reporting period we started a small nursery in order to start a pilot. Hoping for your continuing support.
