Dear Supporter,
Winter for the makeshift camps in northern Syria is another war they face and cannot escape. The thin and weather-worn tent cannot protect its inhabitants from frost and cold.
As every winter, we were part of their journey in facing the cold, providing them with winter necessities such as blankets, covers, winter clothes, heating materials like fuel, coal, and heaters, in addition to providing medicines for winter diseases, especially children's medicines.
Our service areas included northern Idlib and northern Aleppo, where we distributed equal shares of pyrene (a heating material) to 256 families from the camps in the Salqin and Ariha areas. We targeted the most vulnerable and needy families, providing 80 kg of pyrene per family.
In addition, we distributed shares of diesel (European diesel) to primary schools, as well as distributing safe heaters to some of the earthquake victims in southern Turkey in the Hatay camps.
We thank all the contributors for meeting the urgent winter needs of the camp residents. Your generosity has spared many of these families the risks of relying on plastic materials for heating, which can cause fires and pollution.
Thank you, as you have made their winter warm.
