My name is Dalila. I am GlobalGiving's Field Traveler in West Africa for a period of 6 months. I will be conducting 56 visits to GlobalGiving's partners to evaluate their work and running 8 workshops to train our current non-profit partners in Sierra Leone, Liberia and Ghana. I'll also be acquiring new strategic partners and much more.
The nonprofit sector has played a crucial role in the socio-economic progress of many countries in West Africa. However, for many organizations, the limited availability of funding from local donors and the inability to raise external funding support have made it difficult for them to scale their outcomes. Also, the lack of awareness of global crowdfunding platforms and new technology means they stay limited in what they can achieve as a nonprofit organizations.
While there I will visit GlobalGiving's partners in the field, work with them to address their issues, spread the word about GlobalGiving, provide training to maximize their fundraising potential, and support them in broadening their impact, making them more effective and independent. This also allows GlobalGiving to learn from our partners, ensuring that we are working to enhance their experience.
By empowering the organizations with the tools and resources necessary to fulfill their goals, we contribute in making the world a better place. By strengthening the relationship between GlobalGiving and their partners, forming new partnerships, monitoring to ensure that funds are used wisely, ensures that both the donors and the communities' benefit from the necessary support as possible. Your donations to GlobalGiving will allow me offer face-to-face training to these organizations.
