Unfortunately, we have not received much funding to this life saving project. We still keep buying water from the water peddlers who supply us with a full tanker of water, about 2,500 gallons, at an exhorbitant cost of N27, 000.00, which is almost a graduate's monthly salary.
We will really appreciate it if GlobalGiving will find a way to support this project. As it is now, our girls hardly have water for bathing and general cleanliness. We also have to economize in other areas clean water is need. For drinking water, we buy what is locally called put water, that is water "purified" and sold in satchet.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
