Project Report | Jul 31, 2018
Construction to Be Continued in September

By Johanna Wiest | Project Leader

Kenya has seen an unusual amount of rainfall throughout the rainy season this year. This is fortunate for the farmers but causes difficulties with regard to the continuation of the construction of the well in St. Monica Village in Nyabondo. The well has already been drilled but is filled with water due to heavy rains (see photo). As far as the constructor can foresee at this point he will probably be able to continue his work in September. The construction of the well could then be finished in December 2018- right on time to provide water to the widows during the dry season, when absent rain fall can easily cause a severe threat to their livelihoods. We´d like to thank you at this point for your continuing patience and support!
