Testing the water- Der Wassertest

By Johanna Wiest | Project Manager

A lot of progress has been made with regard to the construction of the well in St. Monica Village. The water has been tested and fortunately the quality is good. The water tanks which will be used in order to filter the water to make it potable have been purchased and have been delivered to St. Monica Village. But in the meantime, the rainy season has begun and due to the rising ground-water level, the well is now full of water. This means that the construction needs to be interrupted until June, as the well is now not accessible for the workers. However, we are glad that we´ve continuously received additional funding for the project, thus the construction and maintenance of the well can be carried out in a sustainable way. Up until now we have received 8597€. Our gratitude goes to all donors who have made a contribution!
