We are pleased to update you on our progress in ensuring safe water for La Marroquina, a rural community facing extreme poverty and lacking basic services and healthcare access. With your support, we have achieved significant milestones in improving their overall health and sanitation.
After conducting data collection, we identified parasitosis as a prevalent issue due to poor sanitation and contaminated water sources. Thanks to your generous donation, we were able to install a chlorine purification system in the main water tank, providing clean water to the entire community and deep cleaning of the distribution pipes.
Additionally, as a pilot project, 36 families received home filters to access clean water through the taps. We have already heard from many of the families that the water tastes much better, and we will be monitoring the success of this pilot with plans for wider implementation later this year.
We have conducted community workshops on the importance of clean water and proper handwashing techniques. Comprehensive instructions for filter installation and maintenance has been provided, empowering residents of La Marroquina to utilise the filtration systems effectively.
Your support has made a significant difference in providing the people of La Marroquina with access to clean and safe water, greatly improving their health and sanitation. We are grateful for your dedication and generosity in bringing about positive change in the lives of these families.
Thank you for your continuous support. We look forward to sharing the progress made with the filters next time!
Gracias.
