Firewood... A Lifeline for Yazan and Ahmed in Gaza's Harsh Winter

By muhammed deebeh | project leader

Dear Donor,

As the cold winds sweep through the refugee camps in Gaza, two little children, Yazan and Ahmed, huddle inside a worn-out tent with their mother, trapped by an unforgiving winter and harsh circumstances beyond their control. They lost their father, and with him, they lost their sense of security—but thanks to your generosity, they have not lost warmth.

Our team reached Al-Wahidi Camp in the Al-Nafaq area, north of Gaza, where we witnessed hundreds of families struggling to survive the bitter cold. In that place, it was not only the rain that was falling—it was sorrow, reflected in the eyes of children shivering from the freezing temperatures. But thanks to your donations, we were able to distribute bags of firewood, providing them with much-needed warmth in these harsh days. Your kindness has bridged the distance and reached them like a message of love and care.

This firewood was not just a means of heating—it was warmth for their hearts and hope for two children longing for mercy.

Your generosity does more than provide warmth—it gives them a chance at survival. Continuing to support this project means saving more children from the deadly cold and ensuring their most basic right: the right to live through this unforgiving winter.

With deep gratitude, on behalf of Yazan, Ahmed, and all the children who have felt the warmth of your kindness, we thank you. You are the hope in their darkness, the light in this freezing winter.

with many thanks..
