2020 has been a very particular year for everyone. More than once, have we had to change directions and work modalities at Mundo de Talentos.The context of the pandemic has demanded much greater flexibility and creativity from us than last year.
On the one hand, the Coronavirus has limited our activities this year. On the other hand, the complex situation brought Mundo de Talentos many new positive experiences. New contacts, new work locations, new types of activities and new ideas that we can further develop in the future.
Due to the covid19 pandemic, schools in Mexico have been closed for almost 9 months and students receive classes online or through television. Working with our own concept, outside the official school system, allowed us to make the decision to continue offering face-to-face classes combined with WhatsApp sessions from September. Therefore, we developed our own health and hygiene protocol.
The effort of Mundo de Talentos to continue offering face-to-face classes is commendable as it continues to create a space for meeting and exchange between girls, boys, guest speakers and our team. For both the students and other family members, Mundo de Talentos provides an alternative environment from being locked up and crowded together at home. As one of our students said: 'I used to feel a lot of anger. Mundo de Talentos has helped me to get rid of my anger”.
In 2021 we will continue our efforts with our current students, and if the covid19 context allows us, we will be inviting new students to join the project very soon. Also, in May 2021 we will celebrate the graduation of the first generation of Mundo de Talentos alumni. Our goal is to create a strong Mundo de Talentos community by continuing to engage our alumni through courses and master classes, to further empower them in discovering future career opportunities and welcoming them as guest speakers one day. Starting in 2021, we will begin to develop this new Mundo de Talentos Alumni program.
With pride we present to you the Annual Report 2020 of Mundo de Talentos. In this document you will find a more detailed description of our activities of the past year and our plans for the future.
