We hope you had a lovely summer.
After some weeks of holidays and with new energy the team of Mundo de Talentos is preparing school year 2020-2021. The students are very motivated and excited to return to classes of Mundo de Talentos!
On August 24 school started again in Mexico. Due to the pandemic, education is still offered through television broadcasting and online classes. Step by step life in Chiapas is getting back on track. From September 26 we will start offering our program to the students where we alternate face-to-face and distance classes. Schools in Mexico are closed since March 23. The team of Mundo de Talentos is very happy to be able to make a significant difference for the students during these times by continuing offering face-to-face classes.
Since most parents were cooperative in lending their cell phone to their children, during the phase of the lock-down between April and June 2020, Mundo de Talentos chose to use Whatsapp to continue with the planned 15 sessions of vocational orientation. Including the topics 'Corona Virus ´and the modules of Social Sciences, Environmental Care and Extreme Jobs.
Together with the guest teachers we prepared the sessions with interesting content. Both written and audiovisual with topics for discussion and challenges. We tried to consider the different family contexts of our students, e.g. regarding the use of materials for the implementation of the challenges. At all times challenging activities were offered that motivated the reflection and creativity of the students.
We are happy to share our experiences and those of the students by sending you a brief report ‘Mundo de Talentos in the context of Covid19’.
During these past months we have been able to carry out very inspiring sessions of genuine and active participation, of imagination, creativity, expression and closeness. The goal for Mundo de Talentos is to keep offering our motivating program to the students and to continue to inspire them to be creative, investigative and curious children.
