Coopera ONGD has launched a major humanitarian aid initiative in Lebanon, focusing on the collection and shipment of essential supplies from various regions of Spain. Through a network of collaborators and donors, the organization has been able to mobilize significant resources to support communities in need in this country.
Coopera ONGD's work begins in Palencia, Navarre, the Basque Country and La Rioja, where humanitarian aid collection points have been established. Thanks to the generosity of companies and individuals, pallets of non-perishable food, hospital beds and medical equipment, including complete ophthalmological consultations, have been accumulated. This collection is carried out with strict quality criteria, ensuring that the donated materials are suitable for use and have a real impact on the ground.
Once the aid has been collected, the Spanish Army takes on a key role in the logistics of the project, being in charge of the air transportation of the supplies to Lebanon. This collaboration guarantees that the aid arrives quickly and safely, avoiding any kind of setback in its distribution. Cooperation with the armed forces makes it possible to optimize resources and ensure that the goods collected reach their destination in the best possible conditions.
In Lebanon, the distribution of aid is the responsibility of the Latin Vicariate of Lebanon, a trusted local ally with experience in the management of humanitarian support. This organization is in charge of identifying priority needs and channeling resources to the communities most affected by the crisis. Thanks to its presence on the ground and knowledge of the local situation, efficient and fair delivery is achieved, ensuring that aid reaches those who need it most.
Through this initiative, Coopera ONGD reinforces its commitment to international solidarity and development cooperation. The joint effort of volunteers, donors, the Spanish Army and the Latin Vicariate of Lebanon demonstrates that coordinated action can have a significant positive impact on the lives of thousands of people. The organization continues to work to expand its response capacity and to continue providing support to vulnerable communities in Lebanon and other crisis regions.
