Summary

Children in the valley have broad smiles, frantic waving and greetings when they see our vehicle. They know that YOUPSA is bringing unforgettable creative learning with fun to them. BUT these schools are difficult to access and our current vehicle cannot travel these rough paths and farm roads. YOUPSA needs to get a strong 2nd-hand SUV for bringing educational and art programs to rural disadvantaged children and schools. Without this we are stuck.

Challenge

Without a suitable vehicle, YOUPSA cannot continue to implement Creative Youth Empowerment and Literacy programs to support the children in 2019. Presently we often have to walk and carry materials up and down steep rocky paths because our current vehicle, a 2007 sedan, cannot manage these tracks and is on its last legs. There are many other schools that request YOUPSA's services, but we cannot help them, because we do not have a strong enough vehicle.

Solution

YOUPSA is the only education charity in the region. There are no youth centers, recreational facilities, activities, events, playgrounds, or other opportunities for development. Children and youth are absolutely thirsty for the exciting educational programs and care that YOUPSA brings into their lives. We urgently appeal for your help to get a suitable vehicle to continue helping these otherwise forgotten children. This will enable us to reach them and transport supplies, children & volunteers.

Long-Term Impact

YOUPSA's programs impact over 900 rural children and youth, their families and communities that live in severely compromised situations. A strong and reliable vehicle with high clearance, (e.g. an SUV like Honda CRV or Nissan X-Trail), is one of the main factors for these vital programs to reach these children and uplift them. With your kind help, this vehicle guarantees the regular and sustainable implementation of YOUPSA's programs for the children.
