Before we update you on our work, we would like to make a statement in support of the people of Ukraine. This unconscionable war is foremost in our minds, and we will be determining the best way for us to respond to the crisis in the coming weeks. We thank you for your understanding.
At 3 Generations, we have been recording veterans’ stories since 2011. Along with physical injury, psychological trauma is the leading hardship they deal with, and can leave many lasting scars once they have returned home.
We are proud to share that our newest short film, titled A Kaddish for Selim, has recently been featured in a number of festivals, including the New York Jewish Film Festival in January. It has also been selected to be screened in the Toronto Jewish Film Festival later this year. The film tells the story of Selim, the uncle of 3 Generations founder and film director Jane Wells. The story, about a child of immigrants who died for his adopted country, is as personal as it is universal.
You can view the trailer for A Kaddish for Selim here. We are excited to share the film with you after it has completed its festival run, and we will share screening information when it is available. For the most up-to-date information about this and our other work, you can visit our website at 3generations.org. Thank you for your continued support!
