2022 was certainly a year of many ups and downs for so many people, and even our children's yoga project was not without its challenges. One of the highlights was training a local woman (Cali) to be our regular childrens yoga teacher and this resulted in week after week of really special and amazing classes. But life thre us a curve ball as Cali got busy (post-Covid tourism is now on the up in SA which is wonderful and we are all so grateful) with her day-job and was no longer as available for the children's yoga classes at Nourish.
So we went back to the drawing board and are now looking at partering with another local organisation who has a locally trained self defence coach who would love to not only do girls self defense classes for our teen girls, but also pick up the children's yoga, as working with children and movement is a passion, so this is exciting! We are so passionate about promoting local inspirational leaders from within our own communities into these roles, so we will be working this year to get this going. We are also fundraising for a dedicated yoga 'deck' so the children have a peaceful space for their practice!
Wishing you all a year of abundance, and look forward to sharing with you our momentum as it grows in this coming year! Lots of love to all!
