The burden of living as displaced individuals in northern Syria is already very heavy, even when they are in good health. Now, imagine what it's like when one of them faces a severe illness requiring surgery. This is where the significant impact of your generous donations comes into play, as it has saved hundreds of patients in northern Syria through life-saving surgeries.
A young man suffering from thalassemia arrived at the general surgery clinic in one of SEMA Hospitals, enduring unbearable pain. After a thorough examination by our doctors, it was determined that he had an enlarged spleen and gallstones.
Our doctors wasted no time in requesting the necessary tests and images to determine the next steps, and they swiftly devised a plan for an urgent surgical procedure.
The surgery successfully removed the enlarged spleen, which had extended into the pelvis. The gallbladder was also removed. Now, the patient is on the path to recovery, a journey made possible by your generous donations.
