Saba's Story: Hope in the Heart of Suffering Thanks to Your Generous Support

By HASAN SADIK | project Leader

Dear Donor,

In Gaza, Saba, a 37-year-old mother, lives with her two daughters, Esraa (3 years old) and Hanan (2 years old), enduring a daily struggle forced upon them by the ongoing war. Saba lost her husband while he was trying to secure food for their daughters. He was killed by an airstrike during his trip to bring them food, leaving Saba to carry the weight of life on her own.

Saba says, with her voice choked with emotion: "At the start of this escalation, we had to leave our home due to the bombing, and just a few days later, it was completely destroyed. My husband lost his life while trying to bring us food."

Esraa, with innocent eyes full of longing, asks, "I want to go back home and play with my dad. Why can’t I see him here?" The children ask daily about their father, whose absence is felt deeply, and their hearts are filled with a painful void.

Saba set up their tent in Shuja'iya, northern Gaza, using wood and plastic coverings, but life in the tent grows more difficult every day. Every time the bombing strikes nearby, the fear in Esraa and Hanan’s hearts intensifies.

Thanks to your generous support, we were able to provide a hot meal for this grieving family, easing their daily suffering. However, despite this aid, their daily life is still full of challenges, and their need for food, shelter, and security grows with each passing day.

Your continued donations provide hope for this family who has lost so much, and give Esraa and Hanan a chance to live with dignity despite the overwhelming hardships.

Thank you for your generosity. Without your support, there would be no light at the end of their suffering.
