Your contribution will complement the financial support from Bulgarian, American, and international businesses, the Bulgarian Donors Forum, the America for Bulgaria Foundation, the U.S. Embassy, the American Chamber of Commerce, the TSA, and other generous individuals like you.
The COVID-19 virus is spreading all over the world, causing a huge threat not only to health but to global and local economies and further deepening inequalities in society. Bulgaria is no exception. "United against COVID-19" Response Fund aims to provide financial assistance to Bulgarian organizations that are working with communities most severely affected by the corona virus outbreak.
"United against COVID-19" Response Fund welcomes unconditional donations to support efforts to fight the COVID-19 crisis in Bulgaria. 100 percent of all contributions directly benefit communities in need. Bulgarian legal entities, including non-governmental organizations, social enterprises, community centers, hospitals, municipalities, micro and small businesses (in case of pro bono work in service of vulnerable groups during the current crisis) are eligible to apply.
The Fund will support organizations that service the most vulnerable community members: isolated elderly people, children and youth in need, single parents, victims of domestic violence, homeless people, those with chronic illnesses, persons with special needs, resident care homes, doctors and medical workers, among others. In this way, we ensure to prevent negative long-term consequences of the pandemic on communities across Bulgaria.
