Working in a country at war is very difficult. In order to reach more people we have supported with our own funds a local organization called Mudra Sprava, created an online support platform. Also in the Ukrainian orthodox mentality going to a psychologist is a bad thing.
Mudra Sprava is a psychological assistance platform created with the support of NGO Coopera to provide emotional and psychological support to people affected by the war in Ukraine. They offer free and confidential consultations through a network of qualified psychologists, helping to deal with stress, anxiety, and other problems arising from the conflict. The platform works in collaboration with specialized organizations and is committed to the continuous improvement of its therapists through training and constant supervision.
The context is alarming, since, according to the WHO, one in five people who have lived through a recent conflict suffers from disorders such as depression, anxiety or post-traumatic stress disorder. Testimonials from users of the platform reflect serious problems such as loss of loved ones, war trauma, high stress and adjustment difficulties.
The platform has a team of qualified therapists with at least three years of experience, all with a master's degree in psychology. These professionals receive ongoing training and supervision to ensure the quality of the service. Since its launch, 15 therapists have been incorporated into the project, along with a supervisor and two trainers from the Israeli Trauma Coalition.
The impact of the project is considerable, with 15,927 visits to the website from various countries and 3,669 people attended individual sessions. The majority of users are young women, and the most common problems include anxiety, stress and depression. In addition, online conferences have been held and a wide audience has been reached through social networks, reaching more than 90,000 people on platforms such as Facebook and Telegram.
The results of the sessions show a significant reduction of stress in many patients, who highlight the usefulness and professionalism of the therapists. Overall, the project is seen as a crucial initiative to mitigate the psychological damage caused by the conflict in Ukraine.
