Once again, we want to thank you for your support, which makes possible for women survivors of human trafficking to build a better future for themselves. In the Udaan shelter, which keeps growing every day, we host six women who can create a solid network of trust and support.
During the previous year, they have been able to participate in several activities to enhance their abilities, such as candle and fabric making, which will help us to find a professional activity after they leave the shelter, or even run their own business. At the same time, these activities have a therapeutic effect, as they keep themselves busy doing a manual activity, allowing them to relax, and share the moment with the other inmates of the shelter.
They also have access to a Psychologist who provides individual as well as group sessions and counselling to help them cope with the memories of their past experiences. This is very useful for them to strengthen their self-esteem. Additional sessions of yoga, meditation, as well as dance and music also help them in this way.
All these activities bring a ray of hope to them. And they are possible thanks to your support.
Thank you!!
