Warm greetings and thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative tree growing to save the planet. The most common mistake tree growing promoters commit when they introduce this kind of project is that very few people are interested. This is simply because of the fact that trees takes a long time to grow and bear fruit and hence, the economic gain is not attractive for farmers. They want plants that provide for their immediate needs and this is not possible with trees. Our approach in this situation is to introduce the growing of cash crops like vegetables and pulses that will provide for their immediate economic satisfaction. In so doing we generate much interest and uptake of tree farmers. We have proven this approcah to be effective and timely. This reporting period we are able to provide for alternative vegetable seeds to 300 farmers. Thank you very much for your generosity.
