Expansion to Chiriqui

By Lucija Rozic | Team Member

2024 has brought us a lot of new challenges but also happiness. One of our most significant achievements has been expanding our reach to the Chiriquí region. This expansion marks a crucial step in our mission to support and empower young people in orphanages across Panama.

By establishing new alliances with local institutions, we have ensured that our programs are accessible to a broader audience. This growth allows us to provide essential training and resources, significantly contributing to the success and sustainability of our initiatives. Apart from supporting young beneficiaries, we have also started implementing the Caregivers program to support the institutions.

Program Updates

Our social reinsertion program, which focuses on the integral development of each participant, counts 30 participants this year. So far, 105 hours of training have been provided, despite challenges with scheduling and participant punctuality. These issues are being addressed by emphasizing punctuality and dedicating workshops to time management.

This year, EleMentor has 13 participants, with 442 hours of mentor-mentee sessions and 82 hours of workshops.

Psychology Department - thorugh therapies, we have supported 43 participants between the 1st and 2nd years of the program with a total of 462 hours of one-on-one sessions. Importantly, this has resulted in opening new cases of sexual abuse reports. The bravery of our young participants in coming forward is a testament to their courage and the importance of the progress we are making in creating a safe and supportive environment for them.

Our constant dedication to enhance the lives of young people through education, cultural experiences, and psychological support is evident in all our activities. With continued partnerships and community support, we move forward in our mission.

Your donations are crucial in maintaining this impactful work. Thank you for your ongoing support!
