Women environment action at Dufatanye (WEAD) continues to transform waste into salable items, they increased their activities to process and transform Papyrus plants, bamboo plants and other aquatic plants into beautiful products like baskets. Dufatanye Organization supported them find a trainer who trains them in weaving. They use $34 from sales of their products made to buy basic materials needed to use.
Alphonsine, the leader of the WEAD group, testified that in the environment, there are many things that people think of as waste that is no longer valuable, other than wild plants in the bushes and swamps, but they are gold that we can process and produce, which many people need to make and grow instead of constantly worrying about loneliness and poverty! She further thanked the Dufatanye Organization and its donors for their support and said: “we still need them to achieve even better things! God bless you”.
To be able to make a lot of products, WEAD group still need enough basic materials and tools. We thank the donors for the support and request them to continue advocating and support communities to work and grow.
Thank you
