Dear donors, we are happy to share with you what is happening at the Ananda Learning Center these months.
A new school year has begun, full of diverse activities for children, reading, music, the vegetable garden, the small chicken farm, art and learning environments are prepared for students to continue their learning and development.
Thanks to donors like you, we are managing to expand the school's main courtyard. This teamwork was very interesting and thanks to the families and the organization of the school, it has been possible to achieve that the children can carry out artistic and sports activities with more freedom. We have managed to expand the roof so that everyone can eat together and families can get together at the upcoming festivals that are being organized.
We also have some news that we are very happy to share with you. Osvelia , one of our community teachers, has managed to complete her training as an official Montessori Guide this summer. We are very happy to have the first AMI Montessori guide from the community and we want to share a few words from Osvelia.
“Completing the Montessori guide training course was a great learning experience for me, accompanied by challenges, as well as wonderful and professional people that I had the great privilege of meeting. This training had different stages where I visited schools for observation and practice at different times. Thanks to the Ananda Learning Center and the different donors who supported me, I managed to become a Montessori guide and I will be working in favor of the children of the community so that they also have the opportunity of a good education, a respectful education based on their own interests and abilities that will help them improve their future.”
I have great experiences from the schools I had the opportunity to visit, the laughter of the children, the endless conversations and their curiosity for learning. All of this motivates me to begin this process of accompaniment, always keeping in mind that as guides our purpose is to follow the interests of the children.”
Thanks to donors like you, we write stories of success and gratitude, and we continue to strive every day to improve the quality of education for children in the community of San Sebastián Río Hondo.
Thank you very much for your steadfast support! We will continue to keep you informed about our ongoing work and upcoming events.
