Transforming Lives through Education Rural Oaxaca

One more school year has ended and our sixth grade students say goodbye to Ananda to continue their training in Arcadia, the new high school project that is starting, they are very happy and as a farewell to school they had the opportunity to have a school trip to Mexico City, which was very important for them since most of them had never traveled to the city. They leave very grateful for learning and living with us for 6 years.

In this new school year we receive new children and we continue working on the different areas that are needed to strengthen the comprehensive education of children. Music, gardening, cooking, English and walks through the woods in search of new experiences are part of the children's daily activities. This month we had the visit of Frouwke Van Leeuwen , one of the representatives of Montessori Sports , who has encouraged us to work on the movement and integrate Montessori principles through sports in children's education, a very important topic that we will be implementing. within our plan of activities.

The Montessori environment is an environment carefully designed to offer children opportunities to develop their own abilities. That is why today we are filled with emotion by sharing with you that we have finally managed to build a new room . This great project began several months ago and thanks to the funds raised from donors and to Carolina, our director, who has managed to promote and complete this work. along with more people from the town. Today we have the opportunity to offer the children of workshop I the ideal space that has everything they need to work in a more pleasant environment.

Likewise, the creation of exemplary infrastructures and collaboration agreements have helped us to have a significant regional impact, the progress and success of the project is being observed with the connections and responses of people around us, we continue to offer more and more training and training teachers from public schools, CONAFE public schools and university students who have approached us to receive training, that is why three of the local teachers have started a Montessori training and thanks to that we will be able to have teachers trained at a level of AMI Montessori with ideal work standards to achieve one of our goals, which is to be a regional training center and serve as a training center for other schools in the region or state.

All funds raised and continued support provide students with the resources they need to receive better opportunities.
