Dear Donors,

We are immensely grateful for your unwavering support and commitment to our project, Transforming Lives of 500 Maya Women in Mexico. Your generosity has been instrumental in making a tangible impact on the lives of Maya women and their communities.

As part of our initiative, Kalan Je La'an: Following the Maya Voice, our recent activities focused on raising awareness and creating connections beyond borders. We recently held a significant cultural event, Long Nights of Interculturality, in Vienna. This event, which included over 180 traditional costumes from diverse cultures, featured a dedicated art exhibition with photos and stories from the Maya Voice Development Hub in Mexico. Through this, we were able to highlight the challenges faced by Maya women and celebrate their resilience, raising visibility and support for our ongoing efforts.

Our project has seen remarkable progress:

  • Expanding access to education: Providing scholarships to Maya students, fostering educational opportunities that lead to personal growth and empowerment.
  • Supporting economic empowerment: Forming new partnerships with international universities and organizations to offer training courses and skills workshops, paving the way for women’s financial independence.
  • Promoting environmental awareness: Offering education focused on biodiversity and environmental conservation, emphasizing the role Maya women play in sustaining local ecosystems.
  • Involving women in climate resilience efforts: Actively engaging Maya women in projects like the preservation of the native Melipona bee species, vital for maintaining ecological balance and agricultural productivity in their communities.

As we look to the future, we are inspired by the ongoing support from our community of donors, which has made these achievements possible. We hope to sustain this momentum and expand our impact to reach even more Maya women.

Please consider sharing our mission with your network, as your help is invaluable to spreading our message of hope and empowerment.

Stay connected with us on Facebook and Instagram to follow our journey and progress.

With heartfelt thanks,
The ICDO Team
