COVID-19 is a serious public health problem; there are currently no drugs or vaccines that offer protection against COVID-19
Rwanda Information about COVID-19:
- Rwanda recorded its first confirmed case of COVID-19 on March 14, 2020.
- At this time, Rwanda has resumed most business operations, including restaurants, hotels, shops, and tourism operations. Schools and bars (including bars located inside of hotels and restaurants) remain closed. National parks are open to visitors with a negative COVID-19 test.
- Physical gatherings and meetings are allowed to participants with a negative COVID-19 test and must pay for the test themselves and sit two meters away with face masks.
- Rwanda has resumed international air travel, but its land borders remain closed except for cargo and returning Rwandan citizens and residents.
- Masks/face coverings are required in public.
Based on the factors mentioned above, Friends Peace House could not continue the activities in prisons because they are closed.
Friends Peace House want to mapp all released beneficiaries to find the number of our beneficiaries who may be at higher risk of experiencing complications from this situation, and to know how they are reintegrated.
