Teaching 9th-grade KGBV girls about Menstruation

Dear Donor,

We are excited to inform you that we have renewed our agreements with our partner organizations in Jharkhand and Rajasthan to continue our operations for the academic year, 2024-25. This year, we are working with a total of 61 government schools. 36 of these schools are Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs)— all-girls residential schools located across five districts of Jharkhand. The remaining 25 schools are co-ed, low-income government schools in the Lunkaransar block of Bikaner district, Rajasthan.

As of September 2024, we have successfully completed the first phase of our programming in both states. In Jharkhand, we implemented our curriculum on menstruation and anemia across the 36 KGBVs, training over 230 Champions and supporting more than 4,000 adolescent girls. In Rajasthan, we finished implementing the first module of our mental health curriculum in the 25 government schools. Here, over 150 Champions were trained and more than 3,000 adolescents were sensitized on mental health and its importance.

We are currently finalizing the plan to train our field teams in both Jharkhand and Rajasthan to implement the second phase of programming in both the states. The training is scheduled for the third and fourth week of September, respectively.

Your previous contributions have been instrumental in supporting our efforts, and we kindly ask you to consider donating again today. Your contribution will play a pivotal role in driving our expansion and enabling us to support even more adolescents in the coming months.

Thank you for your continued support!
