The current COVID -19 world pandemic effects are more than the corona virus itself;. Uganda Youth Development and Training Programme plans to give free materials for 50 artisan skilled people with disabilities in-order to help them earn a living during the lock down at their homes to support them selves and families by selling the products.
The COVID 19 has created more challenges to the already vulnerable communities coupled with the already existing poverty levels. The people with disabilities are more vulnerable since they are dependent; they can't help themselves Although Government is trying to help; the people with disabilities suffer from hunger,poor health care, lack income, high poverty. This project will help 50 artisan skilled people with disabilities living poor rural situation earn a living and help their families
UYDT will provide food, tools and materials to 50 artisan skilled people with disabilities to help them make artisan products, sell the products to support themselves live a decent life and also support their families. the artisans will also be taught how to develop their business idea further for sustainability
The project will help 50 artisans with disabilities and help them to rise from poverty which will provide for more families' health and well-being
