TLC friend, 3.1 million young people in South Africa were not in education, employment or training in 2017. But the problem begins in childhood.
We have recently partnered with Afrika Tikkun, an organisation that aims to end child poverty and youth unemployment. Five young women from a disadvantaged area are now helping in our nursery.
By contributing to Mission Tuition, you are helping address this problem at its source! TLC has placed over 900 babies into forever homes since its inception 25 years ago. That is 900 people who have had the opportunity to become healthy, happy, well-rounded contributing memebrs of society. Think of the impact, not only on those children, but on their families and the community at large.
TLC endeavours to get each baby placed as soon as possible, as research shows that stability is key in early years. However, this is not always possible, and that is where you come in. TLC educates the children in our care so we can break the cycle of poverty, along with partners like Afrika Tikkun, and giving children the best possible start.
