A-PAD immediately delivered food packs, hygiene kits, blankets, bottled water, and medical tent to the most affected communities in Surigao City after the onslaught of TyphoonOdette last December 28, 2021. The initiative provided packs to 400 families in Brgy. Mabua, 356 families in Brgy Uslao, 400 families in Malingono in Surigao City. The second batch of relief assistance would be a 3-day activity on January 20-23, which will include medical mission and distribution of relief and early recovery materials to 10 barangays Surigao City.
A-PAD with other organizations distributed food packs, water supply, and other needs to the communities. On the first relief delivery operation (RDO) last December 25, 2021, families in the four (4) coastal communities (Brgy. Bahay, President Quezon, San Roque and Brgy. Caligangan) in Liloan, Southern Leyte received:
- 500 family relief packs
- 407 water supply
- 17 water filtration device
- 9 solar lantern devices
The 2nd RDO provided 1,398 family relief packs and 993 happy/loot bags to children in the communities of San Ricardo, Southern Leyte, last January 2, 2022. The 3rd batch of RDO will be delivered on January 16. A-PAD PH, together with Waves for Water (W4W) dispatched 45 water filters to Siargao, Southern Leyte, Sipalay, and Bohol last December 25, 2021. Basic food and non-food items such as solar lamps, sanitation kits, and even animal feed for both pets and strays were provided.
Despite efforts, many survivors are not yet reached by assistance due to the wide range of devastation and affected families in the regions. Please help us to save more lives.
