This project will build a Rescue Centre for Street Women, Girls, Boys and Babies currently living the harshest of life on the Streets in Nairobi.
There are currently up to 60,000 children living on the street in Nairobi, according to the consortium of street children (CSC) Kenya. These children are living life on streets due to death, poverty and neglect, they are facing possible jail, starvation, health problems, and beatings daily along with being at a very high risk for exploitation. This project will affectively help to get 100 street children off the streets of Nairobi every year.
Because ALL Children Matter is working closely with local partners to provide, shelter, food and education to these children. We will bring at risk children off the street to a safe place where they will receive essential care and education. By giving them meals, water and shelter this will enable them to get back to a healthy physical and mental state.
Scotty's will also be completely 100% self sustainable, our plan is to sell our water to the neighbours within the community, have solar panels for electricity, we will have goats and chickens which will not only feed the children we can also sell the milk from the goats. We have our drawings and blueprints from the architect which include the following rooms, girls dorm, boys dorm, nursery, library, dining hall, kitchen, common room, volunteer housing.
