3 Generations has been hard at work to keep our finger on the pulse of the Syrian crisis. One of the directors of our upcoming feature film, Sophie Scott, is still in Lebanon recording the soundtrack to our film Beyond the Borders. She is in daily contact with refugees struggling to survive this horrible crisis.
It is a crisis that has no apparent ending. Over the time spent on this film, there have been tragic but not atypical developments. During the time we have covered Syrian refugee issues since January of 2014, most refugees have seen things have go from bad to worse.
On a positive note, one of the subjects of our previous series of short films, Three, has had several pieces of good news. Sultan, one of three refuges whose stories were told throughout the films, was able to leave Syria and is now happily married to the translator from the films, and they are expecting a child. He is currently living in Brussels awaiting asylum in Belgium. We are thrilled for them and are energized by this news.
Our ability to produce these films is all thanks to our donors and supporters. Without you, we would be unable to do all that we strive to do. We thank you for all you support as we continue to fight to bring the stories of the Syrian refugee crisis to light.
