This project will provide access to quality education, school materials and care to 1000 out of school and under privileged children from the most vulnerable communities across Nigeria, and also provide mentoring program and general support services to the children, especially the girl child.
There are currently 10.5 million out of school children in Nigeria, making it the country with the highest number of out of school children in the world according to a study by UBEC. Although education and care is the right of every child, the number of homeless children has risen to 8.6 million in the last 4 years. These sad realities pose a great threat to the future and progress of Nigeria. This project will affect 1000 of the most vulnerable children with access to quality education.
Back to School Africa Initiative provides access to education, school materials, food supply and general care services to out of school, under privileged and homeless children.The care givers from the most vulnerable house holds are also empowered with access to skill acquisition and start up capitals for petty businesses.
This project will provide education and care to 1000 vulnerable children in Nigeria so that they can achieve their academic and leadership potentials to rise above poverty and become useful members of the society in the future.
