A house of safety, established in 2007 for abused and vulnerable women with their own children as well as teenage girls where they find shelter and safety, so that they can grow and learn life skills whilst keeping their children with them. Their basic needs are met such as healthy nutritious food, toiletries, clothing and shelter. We provide trauma debriefing, counseling and life coaching to help them find peace and acceptance with the past and help them move forward and plan for their future.
Our current facility, The Cradle of Hope - HOUSE OF RESTORATION currently serves the community of Mogale City (Krugersdorp) and surrounds. Krugersdorp is highly affected by domestic violence, intimate partner violence, rape, child abuse and sexual assault, substance abuse and severe poverty, and therefore we would use donations from Global Giving to expand our current HOUSE OF RESTORATION services, to create a BIGGER footstep thus CREATING a larger footprint.
We run a 3-6 month program whereby we assist these women and their children, with comfortable safe housing, schooling, nutritious food, trauma debriefing and life skills orientation. We offer them intensive counselling and life coaching, so that they are able to deal with their trauma, and should they need, we offer the support of social services to the women who has lost their kids to foster homes. We also assist by sending out their CV's to various employment agencies to help find suitable work.
The CRADLE OF HOPE - HOUSE OF RESTORATION, has the expertise and knowledge to assist these women with their children, as we have been doing this for the past 13 years. We have a strong leadership team and dedicated staff members as well as highly skilled professionals working for and with us. We have formed wonderful partnerships with women who have discovered their callings, their passions and purpose and unique talents, and we have the opportunity to form many more such partnerships.
