Our foster care program is still going well. We are joining a group of other foster parents to support and encourage one another in this journey, learn about TBRI and recruit new foster parents in Chiang Mai. On April 8, we took all our former foster children who still live in Chiang Mai out for a day at the reservoir. We rode a long-tailed boat to a houseboat hotel that has a huge water park area, kayaks and lots of delicious food. We all had a fun time playing in the water and cooling off during Thailand's hottest month. Butsaba and Jay still have one foster son who is 15, and Heather has completed her re-certification with the government. She is waiting for a placement now. Thank you for your support of this program! With the government only providing $50 a month for foster care support, it can be a struggle to provide all the things a child needs, so the extra support is such a blessing to the kids.
