Dear donors:
We are really happy for the donations that you send us. We also are thankful because your participation helped us to reach our goal in GlobalGiving, so now we are ready to help 25 people with disabilities here in Cochabamba - Bolivia.
Now we are going to start immediately the project that we published in Global Giving. We are going to make contact with the people that really need the technical aids in order to give them this help to improve their lives.
Because we have reached our goal we are going to deactivate the project. Next weeks we will present another project to continue working with Global Giving, and we hope to be in touch with you for you to know more about us and our work here in Cochabamba.
The people that we are going to help live in very poor rural zones, which names are: Capinota, Tiquipaya, Colcapirhua, San Benito and Punata. This municipal are 80 or 25 kilometers from the main city, Cochabamba. Also, the families of this people do not have enough resources to buy the technical aids that we will give them, besides the general situation of these people (education, work, communications, etc.) are not enough and basic in order to have a better life level.
Our professional in physiotherapy has made a very exhausting work analyzing each one case that we will help. She watched their healt situation, and their urgent necessities. Therefore, she is really very trained to start the project.
For this project, we work closed with the Municipal Unit of Attention to the Disability. They give us the names of the people than probably needs our urgent help, besides of the addresses in order to visit them and check their social situation. So that, this work envolved the authorities of the community, but they also do not have the money resources to help.
