The children at Abba's House Children's Center in Cienfuegos, Dominican Republic continue to work hard in educational endeavors and are eating balanced meals, thanks to the donations from GlobalGiving partners and others. Most recently, the monies donated through GlobalGiving were utilized to purchase basic education supplies: pencils, paper, crayons, markers, and workbooks. In addition, funds were used to augment meals. A large portion of the funds donated were also used for photocopying student records. One of our children who attends the center has a new baby sibling who was in need of diapers and milk. Some of the funds from GlobalGiving were utilized for that new baby. Plans are also underway to build a new kitchen and dining room for the children's center. We have an initial donation of $2500 and need $22,000 more to make that a reality. We do not currently have a dining room. Children eat their meals at their desks. The kitchen is a very small area that makes preparing food for many children at once quite challenging. We would love to update the appliances and purchase additional cookware and utensils. Please consider donating to this new project. Thank you all for continuing to support or ministry and children.
