Educate and Nourish 100 Dominican Children

Hurricanes Fiona and Ian hit Cienfuegos in September, 2022 in a fury, destroying many of the children's homes. Thanks to your generous donations, repairs began immediately. To date, over 30 homes have been completely repaired, including replaces exterior walls and metal roofs. In the iterim, children and their families were housed at Abba's House Children's Center and in various neighbors' homes. 

The children at AHCC just completed a lengthy Bible school over the summer of 2022. As a part of that ministry, children learned how to spread the gospel message in their community, engaged in many Bible study sessions, enjoyed refreshments and videos.

At AHCC, children attend from ages 3 to 16. This year, we celebrated the graduation of several students from our program, many of whom will go on to become leaders in the community of Cienfuegos. 

The AHCC Medical Clinic has been completely constructed and is under limited operation until medical equipment can be obtained. Many thanks to Champs Missions for your amazingly hard work and incredible mission teams.

AHCC has partnered with the University of Louisiana Monroe, who will be bringing a large team of students and faculty to Cienfuegos in April, 2022 during Spring Break. Students participating will be from the following programs: pharmacy, social work, chemistry, education, and criminal justice. Each group of students will participate in activites related to their programs of study and will visit hospitals, clinics, court buildings, schools, etc. in the Santiago area.
