Hello!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know about how our centres are running in this strange and challenging year - made easier by your generous support.
Our centres have now been closed for a second time, after reopening in August, following a second wave in Sri Lanka that has led to the government shutting all schools and educational programmes.
Our staff team has continued to support our students in many different ways, through remote learning and phone calls to check in on their emotional wellbeing, as well as trying to find additional employment opportunities for our alumni who have lost their jobs due to the pandemic. It is a tough time, but our young staff are resourceful and committed to supporting our communities more than ever.
We very much hope that the centres are able to open again soon, and that those suffering from the virus in Sri Lanka and more widely return to full health.
I include a couple of photos to show how our centres, when open, are operating to keep everyone safe.
Wishing you and yours good health and happiness,
Tim
